The Newcastle Knights has made two forced changes for Saturday's Round 25 match against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Hunter Stadium.

Jeremy Smith (hamstring) and Adam Clydsdale (virus) are ruled out, with Sam Mataora and Danny Levi coming into the side.

The match marks captain Kurt Gidley's 250th NRL match as well as Akuila Uate's 150th NRL match.

A reminder after full time, an event will be held on the ground to officially farewell all departing players including Kurt Gidley and Clint Newton.
