Newcastle Knights Jaelen Feeney, Lachlan Fitzgibbon and Pat Mata’utia attended the Hunter School Leavers Expo for Students with a Disability event on Thursday which provided a chance to interact with Knights fans from all walks of life.

The Expo offered students, families as well as staff who support students and clients with disability or ongoing medical conditions access to representatives from services specialising in disability support.

Along with contact with these important services the event offered plenty of fun including roving super hero characters, a dress-up photo booth and live musical performances.

The Knights’ stall was swamped with the smiling faces of expo participants who lined up to have autographs signed and photos taken with the players.

Feeney, who worked last year as a Learning Support Officer at Hunter Sports High, has had experience himself in supporting students with special needs.

“It’s good to get back here and see some familiar faces from Hunter Sports High and be out in the community and see all these happy faces that are out to see us,” he said.
