Newcastle Knights forward Beau Scott has taken the early plea for a grade one dangerous throw charge issued by the Match Review Committee after Wednesday night's State of Origin match at Suncorp Stadium.
Scott was issued the charge for a tackle in the 32nd minute on Cameron Smith.
By accepting the early guilty plea, Scott will miss Friday night's match against the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium.
The team depart Newcastle on Thursday afternoon and will take a squad of 18 as named on Tuesday minus Scott to Canberra.
