The Newcastle Knights is pleased to announce halfback Trent Hodkinson has agreed to the terms of a three-year contract, commencing in season 2016.

Hodkinson made his NRL debut in 2010 playing for the Manly Sea Eagles before joining the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2011. The 26-year-old NSW Origin halfback has played 109 NRL games.

“Trent’s signing is a major coup for our Club,” CEO Matt Gidley said on Monday.

“Trent is the current NSW halfback and has proven on many occasions, in grand finals and Origin matches, his ability to steer his team to victory.

“Our Club has a young and talented back line in place and we look forward to Trent assisting our team to realise their potential.”
