Newcastle Knights Sione Mata'utia and Tariq Sims have joined the NSW Blues camp and will train with the team as it prepares for the State of Origin series decider at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday July 8.

Sims returns to the representative training camp after joining the Blues in the lead up to Origin game II played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Meanwhile, Mata'utia trains with the NSW Blues for the first time. He was a standout performer in the U18s NSW representative side last year.

After being cleared from injury after the Knights' Friday night match against the Brisbane Broncos, Beau Scott was pleased to return to NSW Blues camp at the start of the week.

"I'm looking forward to playing in the decider next Wednesday night at Suncorp," the second rower said.

"We are in camp again in Coffs Harbour before we get to Brisbane on Sunday.

"It's going to be a big occasion, I can't wait!"
