Even before Robbie Rochow and Beau Scott were injured on Friday night Korbin Sims knew that he would have to step up and take a leadership role in the forward pack.

But with Rochow and Scott joining the likes of Houston and Stockwell on the injury list Sims found himself the most experienced forward for the Knights despite only being 23 years old.

Some players choke under that sort of pressure, but Sims clearly thrived.

He played an incredible 74 minutes and made 42 tackles, only missing two despite becoming increasingly fatigued with the workload that was forced upon him.

And then he also scored a try, which was his fourth in four appearances against the Broncos.

Sims has spoken of his desire to play for the Maroons, and this performance won't do his chances any harm.
