Kade Snowden and Tariq Sims have both taken early guilty pleas for Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charges issued by the Match Review Panel on Monday.

Sims will be free to play in Friday night's match against the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium however the Knights will be without Snowden for the Round 16 encounter.

NYC forward Sam Apthorpe has also taken the early plea and will miss one game.

EARLIER:

Newcastle Knights forwards Kade Snowden and Tariq Sims have both been issued with Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charges by the Match Review Panel on Monday.

Snowden's charge was for a tackle in the 20th minute on Cronulla's Matt Prior and he will miss a game regardless of an early plea due to prior offences and loadings.

Sims was charged for a tackle in the 59th minute on Cronulla's Luke Lewis and he won't miss a game if he takes an early plea.

The Club will consider options for both players and confirm before midday on Tuesday.

Meanwhile in NYC, forward Sam Apthorpe has been issued with a Grade 2 Contrary Conduct -Fighting charge and will miss one game with an early plea.
