If the Newcastle Knights’ show of resilience in their narrow defeat last weekend is anything to go by, Kade Snowden says the team has what it takes to edge out the Canberra Raiders at home on Saturday.
“It was a close game last week and credit to the boys, we had a lot of players out and they stood up,” he said.
“We have worked on a few things this week and if we bring that attitude against Canberra, then I think we’ll be close to winning.
“You class this as a four-point game, so it’s really important for our season.”
The powerful prop takes his spot in the Knights’ pack after missing last Round’s trip across the Pacific due to a existing neck injury that flared up after a heavy hit against the Broncos in Round 11.
“My neck is pretty good," he added.
"There is still a bit of pain there, but a lot less and something I can deal with for this week and can play again.
“It was hard…I had no movement in my head, but it’s loosened up a bit and is a lot better.
“I just needed the week off so I wasn’t going back to square one every week.”
