Newcastle Knights enforcer Beau Scott has been named in the NSW Blues Origin side for game one at ANZ Stadium on Wednesday May 27.

On the back of last year's winning series, it will be Scott’s ninth appearance for NSW.

“I am excited to be selected in the Blues squad today, it is always an incredible honour to represent NSW and to take part in Origin,” Scott said on Tuesday.

“I am looking forward to getting into camp, preparing well for game one and running out at ANZ Stadium next Wednesday.”

Scott’s selection means he will be missing from the Knights' Round 11 match against the Brisbane Broncos at Hunter Stadium.

“I will be watching keenly and cheering the boys on this Monday,” Scott added.
