Newcastle Knight Joseph Leilua has been selected to represent Samoa while James McManus will play for Country Origin in the weekend's representative matches.

The Newcastle Knights have a total of 14 players selected in representative sides to play in this weekend's Representative Round.

Fiji takes on Papua New Guinea at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday May 2. 

This will be followed by the Samoa versus Tonga match in Brisbane.

The Junior Kiwis also face the Junior Kangaroos at C Bus Stadium on the Gold Coast on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Country Origin team is set play their City opposition on Sunday in Wagga Wagga. 

NSW Cup's annual interstate clash against the Queensland Residents team will be played at Tapout Energy Stadium in Brisbane on Sunday.

On Monday morning it was announced Jarrod Mullen, who was selected as the Country Origin halfback, would not be able to play due to injury.
