The Newcastle Knights is currently looking for three junior ball kids for the Club's U16s and U18s teams for the 2015 season.
Junior ball kid is the perfect role for people who have dreamt of running out into Hunter Stadium in front of 25,000 fans alongside Kurt Gidley and having the best seats in the house.
Junior ball kids lead the team out of the tunnel onto the field, walk the side line, get up close to the action, meet the players and most importantly play a part within the game.
The minimum age for ball kids is 8 years old (must be turning 8 in 2015) and the maximum age is 15 years old (must not be turning 16 in 2015).
All ball kids will be provided with a Knights uniform (polo shirt, shorts, tracksuit, hat and back pack.)
Note that ball kids commence with the junior representative teams before progressing over the years through NYC, NSW Cup and NRL. It is expected that each ball kid commit to their respective duties across their allocated season.
The Knights junior season commences February 14, 2015 and will conclude May 9, 2015 if the teams are successful in progressing to the grand final. All junior games are played on Saturdays with home fixtures played at Cessnock Sports Ground (private transport required to home venue) and away games played in Sydney (ball kids to travel with the junior teams on the team bus generally departing from and arriving back at Hunter Stadium).
Games played in February and March will kickoff at 4pm and 5.30pm and then move to a 12pm and 1.30pm kickoff across the months of April and May.
