Robbie Rochow's dedication to the Newcastle Knights and the community has seen him aptly awarded the Clubman of the Year at the Knights' Presentation Night at Wests New Lambton.

The Clubman of the Year award is voted for by the staff of the Newcastle Knights, including coaching staff, football staff, management, commercial and administration staff and is based on a player who they consider to be a good Clubman.

24-year-old Rochow is a wonderful ambassador for the Knights, always willing to assist around the Club and is cooperative with all requests whether it be training, events, community or Club promotions.

He goes above and beyond both on and off the field and continuously has the best interests of the Club at heart. This is reflected through his constant display of kind, thoughtful and generous actions.

"It's great being part of a Club that has such a community base, and they do a lot for the community. It's a great award to win," Rochow told Knights TV on Thursday.

"It's just great being a part of a Club that does give back so much. Being from here and growing up here, it does mean alot."

Although Rochow couldn't single out his favourite community event througout the year, he said he always gets enjoyment from going back to Maitland, his home town, and visiting local schools and Maitland Junior Rugby League teams.
