Kurt Gidley was awarded the Players' Player Award at the Newcastle Knights Awards Evening on Thursday with the accolade presented by Excalibur Club representative Rob Keyes.
This award is voted by all players following each game throughout the season. The award recognises a player who consistently fulfils the Newcastle Knights creed; to be the player that other players want to play with.
"It means alot to me, obvisously to be voted by your players and your peers and teammates, it's the ultimate accolade for me," he told Knights TV after being presented with the award.
