The Newcastle Knights are set to be without Jarrod Mullen, Chris Houston and James McManus for Sunday’s match against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Cairns.
Mullen, who had scans on Monday after missing the second half of Friday’s game, has an abdominal strain and will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks.
Houston (knee) and McManus (foot) are both expected to return in Round 22.
In better news, Kurt Gidley (groin) and Akuila Uate (knee) are both expected to be available for Sunday’s game against the Rabbitohs.
