Marvin Filipo, who left the Club in May last year due to disciplinary reasons, rejoins the Newcastle Knights for the remainder of 2014 after spending a season in France.

"Marvin is aware of our standards and expectations and we are pleased to be able to give him a second chance," CEO Matt Gidley said.

"He is a popular teammate and will be a valuable addition to our roster."

Filipo, who spent the year living in France playing for Limoux Grizzlies, looks forward to his return to Newcastle.

"I've been through a lot with this Club and I'm just grateful to be back," Filipo said.

"I call this place home, so I just want to show my appreciation and hopefully give back to the people that showed faith in me to give me another opportunity.

"I can't wait and I'll be forever thankful."

Filipo has an arm injury and will resume in rehab.

"I have a couple of weeks of rehab to get my body up to scratch then it'll just be like my NRL debut all over again when I put on that Knights jersey," Filipo added.
