Newcastle Knights prop Willie Mason will be sidelined for two weeks after taking the early guilty plea for a grade two shoulder charge on Broncos’ Corey Parker.

Mason risked a three week suspension if he challenged the charge at the judiciary and was found guilty.

It means he misses round eight against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as well as the home game against the Penrith Panthers. Mason returns for round ten against the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval.
