The Newcastle Knights has named a 17-man team for Good Friday football against the Brisbane Broncos at Hunter Stadium.

Josh Mantellato has been named on the wing in place of Akuila Uate in an otherwise unchanged team from last weekend.

Uate suffered a knee knock in Saturday’s win against the Canberra Raiders and scans revealed the winger will be sidelined for approximately three weeks.

Captain Kurt Gidley and prop Kade Snowden have been named however they will both continue to follow NRL protocols for concussion.

Coach Wayne Bennett has put Willie Mason back into the starting line-up with Zane Tetevano shifting to the bench while Chris Houston retains his spot in the second row.
