The Hunter Ports Newcastle Knights are giving the club’s Members and supporters the opportunity to name the Knights mascot for the 2013 NRL season.
Knights fans of all ages can submit their names for the club’s new mascot with the winning entry to be judged by Newcastle Knights captain Kurt Gidley.
The winner of the competition will get to walk onto the field with the newly named mascot prior to the Knights’ Round 1 clash with Wests Tigers at Hunter Stadium.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what creative names our Members and supporters can come up with,” Gidley said.
“The mascot is a big part of the Knights game day experience and helps get our home crowd pumped up before and during the match to create a great atmosphere at Hunter Stadium.”
Knights Members and supporters can submit their name suggestions by emailing knights@newcastleknights.com.au. Make sure you title your email 'Knights Mascot'.
All entries must be submitted by close of business, Friday February 14.
