After spending the week in Brisbane with the NRL All Stars, Willie Mason told Knights TV that he enjoyed every moment of his first All Stars experience.
“The week was great and the concept is unbelievable,” he said.
“The NRL have done a great job with All Stars and they make it very special for the Indigenous people.
“And it is great to get out in the community and spend time with the Indigenous and Maori kids.
“I hope I get the chance to be part of it again next year.”
Mason said he learnt a lot during his time away and hopes he can bring that back to the Knights.
“It is always good to play with different players and see the way they train and the way they approach games,” Mason said.
“It was a very intense out there and felt like it should have been a round ten game.
“Everyone came out flying and were very aggressive and wanting to win.”
On the road again this weekend for the Knights first pre-season trial against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Coffs Harbour, Mason said he is really looking forward to getting back out on the field.
“The boys all look pretty sharp and it is great to be fit at this time of the year,” he added.
“We have two trials then we can fly in to round one.
“I can’t wait for the start of the season.”
