Knights enjoy RMHC Christmas party

Players from the Newcastle Knights recently brought some extra special Christmas cheer to Ronald McDonald House Newcastle by attending their Christmas Party.

Akuila Uate, Marvin Fillipo and Tyrone Roberts, who are ambassadors for the House, signed autographs, posed for photographs and generally mucked around with the many children and families who had travelled far and wide to enjoy the celebrations.

“It was just fantastic to have the Newcastle Knights Ronald McDonald House Ambassadors with us today, it may just be an hour or two of their time but it is so incredibly valuable in the lives of our families," Rohan Bingham, PR/Events Manager RMHC, Newcastle said.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to have great local sporting teams that care. Thank you.”

Along with families and friends of the House, the players enjoyed a delicious BBQ lunch, magic and entertainment from Ronald McDonald himself and a very special visit from Santa Claus who made sure every child left with a Newcastle Knights backpack and other Christmas goodies.

For the three ambassadors, it was a wonderful way to spend a sunny Sunday and a great way to kick-off the festive season.
