Gidley and Smith spoke to the Harold Matthews side about how important it is to respect the Knights jersey and what it means to play in the red and blue.

Mullen and Buderus spoke to the SG Ball side which includes Brett Mullins’ son Bradley and Dane Gagai’s younger brother, Jacob, about the different paths they took to get to where they are today and how much hard work it took to establish themselves as first grade players.

“I still remember playing in the under 18’s like it was yesterday, it has gone so quick,” Buderus told the SG Ball players.

“It is an exciting time for you, playing your first game against Perth this weekend.

“Make sure you go out there and be the player everyone wants to play with.

“It isn’t about being the most talented but being the ultimate teammate.”
