Hunter Stadium to host NSW Cup
Monday 14 January 2013 1:44 PM
For the first time this season Hunter Stadium will play host to the Newcastle Knights NSW Cup team, with three triple-headers scheduled for rounds four, six and thirteen.
With the help of new coach Rick Stone, the Knights are hoping to build on their successful 2012 campaign, which saw them defeated in a tight battle with the Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers in the preliminary final.
The team will open their 2013 campaign on Sunday March 10 at Morrie Breen Oval when they take on new rivals the Wyong Roos, who enter the NSW Cup competition this season.
Members and supporters will only have to wait until round three to cheer the Knights on, with the team returning home to No.2 Sportsground to take on the Auckland Vulcans.
The full season draw, which includes a 26-week regular season, representative round, a four-week Final series and a Grand Final at ANZ Stadium, can be viewed by clicking here.
