Bennett tells Insiders he is hopeful of signing Anthony Quinn

In this week’s edition of Knights Insider, coach Wayne Bennet revealed he is hopeful of bringing former Knights winger Anthony Quinn back to his hometown Club.

After spending last season with the Melbourne Storm, Quinn has commenced pre-season training with the Knights with a view to securing a contract for the 2013 season.

Bennett said he would like to see Quinn wearing the red and blue once again.

“We haven’t finalised a deal yet with Anthony but I am optimistic he will be playing with us,” he said.

“We are waiting for the new salary cap figure to come out and we might be able to offer him a little bit more money that would probably seal the deal.”

Bennett also indicated he may look to use Tyrone Roberts as more of a utility player next season.

“That is in my mind at the moment, it isn’t set in concrete but it is about how that rotation could work and benefit the team and maximise what Tyrone, Danny (Buderus) and Kurt (Gidley) all bring to the team.”
