TEAM NEWS

UPDATE: Coach Adam O'Brien confirmed on Saturday that Jacob Saifiti (leg) won't play, with Jack Hetherington coming straight into the side in his return from suspension.

TUESDAY: Knights Head Coach Adam O'Brien named his 22-man squad for their Round 9 clash against the Warriors.

The team is unchanged from the side which took on the Dolphins last Sunday.

For the Warriors, back-rower Kurt Capewell returns from a throat injury and Bunty Afoa is set to play after time out with a hamstring injury.

That bumps rookie Jacob Laban back to the bench, while Paul Roache and Zyon Maiu'u drop out of the side.

Gamble: 'He's only scratching the surface'

FORM GUIDE

The Knights bounced back last start to come away with a 18-14 victory against the Dolphins.

The side have won two of their last three at McDonald Jones Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Warriors were defeated 27-24 last round by the Gold Coast Titans.

KEY MATCH-UP

Dane Gagai v Roger Tuivasa-Sheck: What a battle in the centres this match-up looms on Sunday afternoon.

Gagai has been at his consistent best in 2024 with 30 tackle breaks. The centre scored a try and kicked three goals against the Dolphins last round.

The Knights will look to contain the dangerous Tuivasa-Sheck who boasts a lethal step plus has averaged 185 run metres to start the season.

Armstrong: 'It's been unreal'

STAT ATTACK

The Knights won the last game between the two Clubs in Newcastle with a 34-24 result last season.

Knights winger Greg Marzhew has scored five tries in four games against the Warriors.

Knights goalkickers have landed 25 of their 26 attempts at goal in 2024.
